This stunning double landscape zinnia is a great variety for your flower beds. It's more compact than most varieties, staying about 1.5 feet tall with a 20 inch spread.

Zinnias are one of the easiest annuals to grow, and attract butterflies to the garden. They are the perfect cut flower—the more you cut, the more you get. They thrive in the sun and heat of summer, and ask only for well-drained soil. When cutting the blooms for the vase, trim off all the foliage; unlike the blooms, it does not age well. Direct sow or start ahead indoors.

Sow seeds outdoors in a sunny location after the danger of frost (recommended). Cover seeds with 1/4 inch of soil with spacing about 12 inches apart. Firm lightly and keep evenly moist. Seedlings should emerge in 7-10 days. Thin seedlings to 18-24 inches apart when they are 1-2 inches tall.

Seeds can be started indoors 4 weeks before the last frost for earlier blooms.
