The leafless branches are commonly used in cut flower arrangements. Statice also makes an excellent dried flower.

Sow seeds indoors 5 - 6 weeks before the last frost. Barely cover seeds as light is required for germination. Harden off seedlings once the danger of frost is past. Direct sowing is not recommended.
