Moonflower (Ipomoea alba) is a night-blooming species of morning glory known for its large, fragrant, and trumpet-shaped white flowers. Native to the Americas, these vines are characterized by heart-shaped leaves and typically bloom in the late afternoon and evening, with their blossoms opening as the sun sets. Moonflowers are often cultivated for their captivating nocturnal beauty and are prized for their ability to attract pollinators such as moths with their sweet-scented blooms.

To plant moonflower seeds, start by selecting a sunny location with well-drained soil. Ideally, sow the seeds directly in the ground after the last frost, as moonflowers are sensitive to cold temperatures. Scarify the seeds by gently nicking the outer coating with a file or sandpaper to enhance germination. Plant the scarified seeds about half an inch deep in the soil and cover them with a light layer of soil. Keep the soil consistently moist until the seeds germinate, and once the seedlings are established, provide support such as trellises for these climbing vines to flourish.

However, because successful growth depends on various factors beyond our control—such as planting conditions, weather, and care—we cannot offer refunds for seeds, corms, or bulbs that do not germinate or sprout.

Thank you for your understanding and support. If you have any questions about planting or care, we’re happy to help!
