Bells of Ireland is one of the most unique filler flowers for cut flower bouquets. Its chartruse green color compliments almost any color pallete. They also add a sweet vanilla-like fragrance.
Direct Sowing (recommended): Sow in early spring when soil temperatures are 50-60C. Do not cover seeds - light is needed for germination.
Sowing indoors: For the best germination, chill seeds for 1-2 weeks at 35-40C before sowing indoors. Start seeds 6-8 weeks before the last average forst date in your area. Start in individual 3" containers or cell packs, as seedlings do not like root disturbences. Do not cover seeds - light is needed for germination. Keep soil moist until germination occurs (12-21 days).
Cutting flowers regularly will promote plant branching and more flowering.
