Velvet queen sunflowers bloom in beautiful, rustic shades of burgundy and bronze. Like other sunflower varieties, they are very easy to grow and make an excellent cut flower especially for fall arrangements.
Direct seeding after the last frost is recommended as root disturbance can be harmful to seedlings. Sow seeds ½” deep. Seeds can be started indoors 2-3 weeks before the last frost to achieve early first blooms. Succession sow plants every 1 - 2 weeks to stagger bloom time.
Plant Type: Annual
Height: 80”
Light: Sun
Maturity: 75 - 100 days
Plant Spacing: 12 - 24”

However, because successful growth depends on various factors beyond our control—such as planting conditions, weather, and care—we cannot offer refunds for seeds, corms, or bulbs that do not germinate or sprout.
Thank you for your understanding and support. If you have any questions about planting or care, we’re happy to help!
