Red carpet sedum is a great option for a succulent ground cover. It has dense rose colored blooms in the summer. It's fast growing, semi-drought resistant once established, and low maintenance. It's a perennial, hardy down to zone 3.
Sow sedum seeds in cell packs or flats, press into soil but do not cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 75-80° F., germination is in 10-30 days. Transplant sedum seedlings into the garden 10-14 in. apart, after all danger of frost.
Full or part sun. Plants tolerate heat and are drought tolerant once established. Will accept moderate water in well-drained soils, with average to low fertility. Sedum requires little or no maintenance and plants are deer and rabbit resistant. Flowers are much loved by butterflies. Does not like wet, humid conditions.

However, because successful growth depends on various factors beyond our control—such as planting conditions, weather, and care—we cannot offer refunds for seeds, corms, or bulbs that do not germinate or sprout.
Thank you for your understanding and support. If you have any questions about planting or care, we’re happy to help!
